HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TRIP:
JVARI CHURCH-SVETITSKHOVELI CATHEDRAL-METEKHI TEMPLE-NARIKALA FORTRESS-ABANOTUBANI-LEGHVTAKHEVI WATERFALL-BOTANICAL GARDEN-SIONI CATHEDRAL

In the morning we pick you up from your hotel and drive 30 minutes to our first destination is Jvari monastery-UNESCO world heritage site built in the 6th century. Built on the top of the hill from where we have an amazing view of the confluence of Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers and the town Mtskheta.  After Jvari  excursion we visit Mtskheta-3000 years old town and  the former capital of Georgia. We have an excursion of Svetitskhoveli Cathedral-another UNESCO protected monument dating from the 11th century. Svetitskhoveli is the most important spiritual center for Christian Georgians where according to the Orthodox church supposed to be buried the Seamless Robe of Jesus and where there is a burial ground of the Bagrationi royal dynasty of Georgia. After we explore Svetitskhoveli cathedral we have a free time for souvenir shopping. Drive back to Tbilisi. Visit the old part of the city.  Metekhi church from where we have a panoramic view of the old city. Take a cable car to the Narikala fortress, walk to the botanical garden, visit Juma Mosque and Leghvtakhevi waterfall. Explore Abanotubani-the bath district of Tbilisi. Walk through the narrow streets where carpets and souvenir shops are situated. Visit the Big  Synagogue of Tbilisi, Sioni cathedral and Anchiskhati-the oldest church of Tbilisi. Explore Freedom square and Rustaveli avenue-the main artery of Tbilisi. Optional visit National Museum(closed on Mondays). Drive back to your hotel.
