Trekking Tour From Tusheti To Khevsureti

If you love hiking in the mountains and if you enjoy an ancient artcitecture this is the  best tour for you. You will hike in the most beautiful and ecologically unspoiled parts of Georgia – Khevsureti and Tusheti provinces. The ancient settlements of these 2 regions are known for their medieval watchtowers, ancient customs and  fascinating views. Medieval villages Dartlo and Parsma are some of the undisputed highlights of Georgia. Because of the severe conditions in winter, most local people leave Tusheti and come down to the valleys. In spring they again come up to their homes and work hard, herding their cattle and making cheese. Unique textiles of Khevsurs and Tushetians are famous for beautifully embroidered stars and crosses symbolizing the ancient rituals.

Day 1. Arrival. Meeting in the airport and transfer to a hotel in Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 2. Tbilisi-Omalo. Overnight in a guesthouse in Omalo

Day 3. Omalo-Dartlo. (11km trekking)  Overnight in a guesthouse in Dartlo

Day 4. Dartlo-Girevi. (14km trekking)  Overnight in a guesthouse in Girevi

Day 5. Girevi-Kvakhidi. (14km trekking) Overnight in  tents in Kvakhidi

Day 6. Kvakhidi-Khidotani. (17km trekking) Overnight in  tents in Khidotani

Day 7.Khidotani-Shatili. (19.5km trekking) Overnight in a guesthouse in Shatili

Day 8. Shatili-optional rafting on Aragvi river(level 2-3)-Mtskheta-Jvari monastery-Tbilisi. Overnight in a hotel in Tbilisi

Day 9. Tbilisi city tour and free day. Overnight in a hotel in Tbilisi

Day 10. Transfer to the airport. Departure
