This tour program involves off-road driving in the remote, non - touristy villages and regions of Georgia. With this 4x4 Eco tour, we give you a unique opportunity to drive through stunning mountain scenery to charming medieval villages while exploring the country's rich cultural heritage local life and cuisine.

Tour itinerary:

Day 1. Arrival

Tbilisi international airport - transfer to centrally located hotel in Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi. Hotel

Day 2. Tbilisi - Zhinvali - Mutso - Shatili

Tbilisi - drive to Zhinvali water reservoir - lunch picnic - 4x4 to Shatili -drive and then walk to Mutso fortress from the middle ages - Shatili -explore Shatili with its medieval settlement. Overnight in Shatili. Guesthouse(BD)

Day 3. Shatili-Rafting-Uplistsikhe-Ateni

Shatili - optional rafting on Pshavis Aragvi river(level 2-3) - lunch in a local restaurant - drive to Uplistsikhe - explore rock hewn town from the 7th century BC - drive to Ateni - Ateni Sioni church from the 7th century. Overnight in Ateni.  Guesthouse (BDW).

Day 4. Ateni-Katskhi pillar Gelati monastery-Tskaltubo

Ateni - Katskhi pillar - it is a church on the top of the hill from the 6th century - lunch in a local restaurant - Gelati monastery (UNESCO WHS) from the 12th century - explore the complex and its unique murals - drive to Tskaltubo. Overnight in Tskaltubo. Hotel (B)

Day 5. Tskaltubo-Lentekhi-Zagaro pass-Ushguli

Tskaltubo - drive to Prometheus cave - explore the cave with 1 hour walk - lunch in a local restaurant - drive to Lentekhi - 4x4 drive to Zagaro pass and Ushguli which is one of the highest 4 season inhabited community in Europe located 2200m above sea level - visit Lamaria monastery from the 10th century - Overnight in Ushguli. Guesthouse (BD)

Day 6. Ushguli-Shkhara glacier-Mestia

Ushguli - explore the towers in Chazhashi (UNESCO WHS) - 4x4 drive and walk to the foot of the  Shkhara glacier - Shkhara is the highest peak of Georgia 5201 m - drive to Mestia - visit traditional Svanetian tower and a dwelling from the middle ages - Overnight in Mestia. Guesthouse (BD)

Day 7. Mestia - Zugdidi - Batumi botanical garden - Batumi

Mestia - Enguri dam - it is one of the tallest dams in the world 272 m -Zugdidi - lunch in a local restaurant - drive to Batumi botanical garden - walk 3 km to explore the garden - drive to Batumi. Overnight in Batumi. Hotel(B)

Day 8.Batumi - Makhuntseti waterfall - Goderdzi pass - Zarzma monastery - Vardzia

Batumi - drive to Makhuntseti watertfall - Queen Tamar's bridge - 4x4 drive to Goderdzi pass - Zarzma monastery complex - from the middle ages - Akhaltsikhe - Vardzia. Overnight in Vardzia. Guesthouse(BDW)

Day 9. Vardzia - Khertvisi - Rafting - Borjomi

Vardzia-explore medieval cave town of Vardzia from the 12th century - drive to Khertvisi fortress from the 2nd century BC - optional rafting on Mtkvari river-Borjomi - walk in the central park of Borjomi and optional swim in the thermal pools. Overnight in Borjomi Hotel (B)

Day 10. Borjomi - Bakuriani - Tskhratskaro pass - Tabatskuri lake -Foka nunnery - Tbilisi

Borjomi - Bakuriani - 4x4 drive to Tskhratskaro pass and Tabatskuri lake - lunch in Foka nunnery - Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi. Hotel (B)

Day 11. Tbilisi city tour

3-4 hours walk to explore the old part of the town:  Metekhi church -take a cable car to the Narikala fortress - Botanical garden -Leghvtakhevi waterfall - Abanotubani(Suphur bath district)-Maidan square - Sharden street - Great Synagogue of Tbilisi - Statue of Tamada - Konka (old tram of Tbilisi) - Caravanserais - Sioni cathedral-Erekle II street - Bridge of Peace - Rike park - Anchiskhati-oldest church of Tbilisi - Gabriadze theatre - Statue of Berikaoba - Freedom square and Rustaveli avenue - the main artery of Tbilisi-free evening. Overnight in Tbilisi. Hotel(B)

Day 12. Airport transfer

Transfer from the  hotel to the international airport of Tbilisi-Departure (B)
