Gelati Monastery And Prometheus Cave

Explore Natural And man-made wonders of the country. Prometheus cave is the most beautiful Grotto of Georgia, and  Gelati monastery frescoes and mosaic are listed by UNESCO for their unique style and importance. We will also show you Ubisa monastery and Bagrati cathedral on the way.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TRIP: UBISA CHURCH - GELATI MONASTERY - BAGRATI CATHEDRAL - PROMETHEOUS CAVE

Duration: 10 - 11 hours

Tour Itinerary:

We drive to western Georgia. En route we visit the Ubisa church with its unique murals from the 14th century. After Ubisa, we visit a ''Pottery Market'' in the village of Shrosha. Next, we drive to the Gelati Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and we visit the Gelati complex. After Gelati, we visit the Bagrati Cathedral, another monument listed by UNESCO. Once we visited the cathedral, there are two options: either we visit the Sataplia* cave with footprints of dinosaurs or the larger Prometheus cave*. Drive back to Tbilisi.
