Trekking Tour From Tusheti To Khevsureti - 10 Days

Duration: 10 Days. Best season: Jule to September

If you love hiking in the mountains and if you enjoy an ancient architecture, this is the best tour for you. You will hike in the most beautiful and ecologically unspoiled parts of Georgia – Khevsureti and Tusheti provinces. The ancient settlements of these 2 regions are known for their medieval watchtowers, ancient customs and fascinating views. Medieval villages Dartlo and Parsma are some of the undisputed highlights of Georgia. Because of the severe conditions in winter, most local people leave Tusheti and come down to the valleys. In spring, they again come up to their homes and work hard, herding their cattle and making cheese. Unique textiles of Khevsurs and Tushetians are famous for beautifully embroidered stars and crosses symbolizing the ancient rituals.
