Tour Itinerary:
We drive from Tbilisi to the eastern part of Georgia, the main wine region of Kakheti. On the way we will see many vineyards. We stop in Badiauri to visit a Georgian bread bakery, where we will taste bread and cheese. We continue the drive and reach village Qedeli where we can do a horse ride. The next stop is Bodbe nunnery, where there is a grave of St. Nino the woman who preached Christianity in the early 4th century and converted Georgia. After exploring the nunnery and the local workshop where locally produced handicrafts are sold, we continue to Sighnaghi, a beautiful city known as the city of love, located on the hill and surrounded by a defensive wall built by one of the greatest kings of Georgia - Erekle II - in the 18th century. You will have the opportunity to walk on the wall. Optional wine tasting and lunch at a local natural winery or a visit to a local museum where you can see paintings by the most prominent Georgian painter, Niko Pirosmani. Drive back to Tbilisi.
